You approve the connection
The first time your assistant needs your account, a Bucky sign-in page opens. Reading projects, changing them, and exporting a report are separate permissions, and you never paste a token.
No guesses in the gaps
If the bylaw doesn't set a limit, Bucky tells you. If Bucky couldn't extract one, it tells you that instead. And if a city isn't live yet, you'll hear that too.
Paste it wherever you work
Pick the assistant you have open. For Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, and the other editors, copy the prompt and paste it in — the agent adds Bucky itself.
Before you connect
Two tools work before you sign in, so you can check the connection first. Saving a project or running an analysis asks you to sign in. Any plan can use the connector. Higher plans give you more usage and more benefits.

Common questions
Do I need to paste an API key?
No. Your assistant opens a Bucky sign-in page that lists the permissions before you approve anything. To disconnect, go to Settings, then Connected apps. It takes effect on the next request.
Can I try it without an account?
Yes. The connection guide and coverage-status explanations work without one. You'll be asked to sign in when you save a project or run an analysis.
What does it cost?
Any plan can use MCP and the other connectors. Higher plans give you more usage and more benefits. Professional is $99 a month. Prepaid developer credit starts at $10, then $0.10 per sourced site check.
Why won't ChatGPT connect?
It comes down to your plan. Free can't add custom connectors, Pro can only read and fetch, and Developer Mode needs Business, Enterprise, or Edu. Our one-click Apps Directory listing isn't live yet.
